Meet The Team
I am the owner of Mini Trailblazers and I provide a number of sessions at Highmoor Nursery School on a Monday and Friday. Mini Trailblazers was set up by myself in October 2012 and I have been working with Highmoor Nursery School since 2013.
My passion is to provide opportunities for children to develop their athleticism at an early age and further their physical capabilities, giving them a head start in their sporting life. I have two children, Harry and Lucy.
I started working at Highmoor Nursery in February 2015 and love it! I qualified with my NVQ Level 3 in Early Years Education in 2017. I usually work with the Robins group, guiding and supporting the youngest members. I am currently running the toddler sessions ‘Babes in the woods’, until I return from maternity leave in September 2019. I have 2 lovely daughters called Chloe and Lottie. I love spending time with my partner and my children, family and friends and am very passionate about horses.
I have worked at Highmoor Nursery School since November 2013. I am married to John, with three lovely children and I live in Stoke Row. I qualified with an NNEB/Norland Diploma in 1989 and went to London to nanny for four years. I then worked for a nanny recruitment agency for almost six years and went on to work at Checkendon Primary school as a teaching assistant to the foundation stage children.
My interests are firstly my family. I love being outdoors - walking, playing tennis. I also enjoy cooking & films.
I have owned Highmoor Nursery School since September 2007. I am the Registered Person, Safeguarding Lead and Nursery Manager.
I hold an NVQ3 Qualification in Childcare and Education and I am also an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers.
I am married with two fabulous children and I enjoy keeping fit and foreign holidays.
I joined Highmoor Nursery School in September 2015. I work with the Robins and as the setting SENCO. I am also the Deputy Manager. I am originally from Kenya. I am qualified with an NNEB Norland Diploma in 1988, first working with a number of families in London and then in Hawaii. I also have a Bachelors degree in Nursing. I live with my son Will and dog Lizzie. I enjoy running, keeping fit and spending time with friends and family.
I joined Highmoor Nursery in Spring 2019. I am married to a farmer and have 3 children and 3 grandchildren. I have been in childcare for over 28 years.
I am a qualified Nursery Nurse with over 20 years of experience. I am the Deputy Manager at Highmoor and work with the Red Kites. Before having my 3 boys I managed Treetops Nursery in Henley. I have worked at various other preschool settings and also as a teaching assistant in reception at Kidmore End School. I also help my husband in his Estate Agency business. I worked at Highmoor for 18 months back in 2008.
I joined Highmoor Nursery in May 2019. I work with the Woodpeckers 3 days a week.
I recently worked as an LSA in a local special school. My interests are family life in general; whether it be cooking, music swimming and walking the dog to name a few.
Mrs Bun the Baker
I started to cook with the Woodpecker and Red Kite groups in September 2017. I work with many settings and have many years of experience. I am a qualified teacher in Early Years.
I have been working at Highmoor Nursery since October 2014. I am NVQ 2 qualified in Childcare and Education and about to start my NVQ3. I lead the Woodpecker Group and also teach French and Music.
I joined Highmoor Nursery School in September 2017. I work alongside Chez in the Woodpecker Group. I have over 8 years experience in Early Years settings, and hold an NVQ level 3 qualification in Child Development. I am married with two sons and enjoy being with my family. I also enjoy singing with my band, playing ukulele, guitar and piano, writing songs, cooking and knitting.
I started working at Highmoor Nursery in November 2017 and am enjoying every aspect of the job! I have previously worked in a school environment and ran an afterschool and holiday club. I have a Level 3 NVQ in Play work and Health and Social Care and am going to be working towards my qualification in Early Years Education.
I started working at Highmoor Nursery in January 2018 after being in a senior management role within Mothercare where I had worked for the past 20 years. During my time at Mothercare I learnt about child development and the associated products to support children’s growth and skills. I live with my husband, two cats and daughter Holly.
I started working at Highmoor Nursery in June 2018 after many years as the deputy manager at The Cabin Preschool in Woodcote. I love spending time with my family and have 3 children, and I love travelling with my husband.
I joined Highmoor Nursery in January 2019 as the housekeeper, whilst Sally is on maternity leave.
I have an NVQ Level 2 in Childcare and have worked at other local settings prior to having my own two girls.
I have worked at Highmoor Nursery School since January 2016 on a part time basis when needed, after being Deputy Head at Dragonflies Montessori Nursery and many years of nannying. I qualified with an NNEB/ Norland Diploma and am studying to become a counsellor to compliment my sleep training and hypnotherapy. I enjoy travelling and going to theatre and cinema.
I started working at Highmoor Nursery School in October 2019 after completing my Level 3 Children's Play, Learning and Development qualification at college.
I work with the children in the Woodpecker group.
My hobbies include spending time with family and friends, shopping and going to the theatre/cinema.
I started working at Highmoor Nursery in November 2019. I joined initially as a housekeeper having worked at a pottery cafe in Wallingford. I have enjoyed my time so much that I am now working towards a childcare qualification.
